In commemoration of the 8th of March, the Palau Ducal has programmed a series of activities to highlight and vindicate the role of women in History and Art.

From 19th February, the third edition of FEMART will be held in the Carròs i Centelles hall. A collective exhibition that brings together 40 women artists under 40 years old, in the hall Carròs and Centelles  of the Palau, the Tossal hall and in C/ Jesuitas.  The exhibition can be visited until 19th March during the opening hours of the Palau.

There will also be a talk by the historian Marta Morant on 13 March at 7 p.m,  which will be entitled ‘EL TREBALL DE LES DONES A LA SAFOR MEDIEVAL’. The conference will be held in the Salón de Coronas with free admission.

Once again this year, the Palau Ducal has also programmed its VISITS IN FEMININE, guided visits  with women as protagonists. Vannozza Cattanei, María Enríquez, Isabel de Borja, Leonor de Castro, Magdalena Centelles, are just some of the protagonists of these visits.

They will take place on 7 March at 6pm and on 8 and 9 March at 1pm. The tickets can be purchased through the website www.palauducal.com and are priced at5€ per person.
