    Francisco de Borja jesuita: vocación y servicio

    ENRIQUE GARCÍA HERNÁN

    Enrique García Hernán es Profesor de Investigación del Instituto
    de Historia en el Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales del
    Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas. Realizó su tesis
    doctoral en la Universidad Gregoriana de Roma sobre La acción
    diplomática de Francisco de Borja al servicio del Pontificado
    (1571-1572) (Valencia 2000). También ha publicado la biografía
    Francisco de Borja, Grande de España (Valencia 1999) y dos
    volúmenes de su correspondencia en la colección Monumenta
    Historica Societatis Iesu (Valencia-Roma, 2005 y 2009).

    José García de Castro Valdés es Profesor de Teología espiritual y
    espiritualidad ignaciana en la Universidad P. Comillas de Madrid.
    Su interés académico se centra en la historia de la primera
    Compañía de Jesús y en la espiritualidad de los primeros
    compañeros de san Ignacio. Entre otras figuras ha publicado
    sobre Ignacio de Loyola, Pedro Fabro, Francisco de Borja o Juan
    Alfonso de Polanco así como sobre otros temas relacionados
    con los Ejercicios espirituales.
